Chiropractic Education

Chiropractors are educated as primary contact health care providers with a concentration on musculoskeletal diagnosis and treatment. Usually, an applicant to a chiropractic college already has achieved a bachelors degree in their area of interest. The area of the degree may vary, however, all applicants must complete pre-requisite classes in the area of chemistry, physics, biology, math, and others.

Chiropractic graduate education is challenging with students taking up to 26 credit hours per trimester in all areas of health science. Our education consisted of coursework in neuroanatomy, human anatomy, cadaver dissection, pathology, physiology, philosophy, chiropractic technique, laboratory diagnosis, radiology, nutrition, physical assessment, physiotherapy, and treatment protocol.  We spend our entire last year in chiropractic clinics treating patients and refining our skills.
