Morsch Family Chiropractic

Chiropractic for Active and Healthy Kids

Children of all ages can benefit from chiropractic care.  They take many spills and tumbles as they are exploring their environment.  Have you ever watched a child learn how to walk?  How many attempts result in a fall right on their bottom before they master the skill?  How many times have you seen your child fall out of bed, off the playground monkey bars or get pushed by a sibling?  All of these normal childhood events can cause injury to their growing body.  Think about how you would feel as an adult if you had that many tumbles.

Inside the spine is the spinal cord, which is the main highway for information to and from the brain.  From the spinal cord comes the spinal nerves, which spread across the whole body to control every aspect of our life.  Our ability to move, feel, touch, concentrate and learn are all controlled by our nervous system.  It is through this relationship that people may experience other health related benefits.  Pediatric patients of chiropractic have seen benefits in asthma, colic, torticollis, intestinal disorders, ADD/ADHD/Autism/SPD, headaches, neck pain, back pain, growing pains and many others.

Chiropractic for kids is very safe and effective.  Adjusting a child is much different than adjusting an adult.  Often times it is done with just a finger and a flick of the wrist by the doctor or sustained light pressure in a specific area.

Kids love being treated!  If you have a child that is slow to warm up to new people and environments, please let us know in advance.  We may schedule you and your child for a ‘welcome to the practice’ appointment.  You can come in and meet Dr. Morsch and see the office.  This will help your child feel more comfortable when they come for their first appointment.
